Palisades Tennis

Dear Palisades Tennis Community,

I hope you are all having a wonderful winter. It’s already February which means spring is just around the corner. The 2023 Spring Instructional Program at Palisades will begin on Monday April 10th, which is the last day of spring break for MCPS. As usual, we will have a full tennis program for both adults and juniors. I have attached the spring and summer programs for 2023. Please look them over, and let me know if you have any questions or need guidance about which program to enroll you or your child in.

Collectively, the coaches at Palisades have over 90 years of tennis coaching experience. I sincerely hope that you will choose Palisades in 2023 for your tennis instructional needs. If there is anything I can do to make your experience at the courts better or if you have any programs or classes that you would like to see at Palisades, please do not hesitate to let me know. I will do my very best to accommodate your requests if possible.

Winter Tennis at Palisades

Thus far, it hasn’t been great for outdoor tennis this winter. Not so much because of the cold but it has been rather wet. But we still have 2 months left until the spring season begins. If your child is looking to get out there before April, we are offering some classes that are week to week weather dependent. You only need to pay for the classes that your child attends. Here is the winter schedule that will last until spring break. Please contact me if your child is interested in joining.

Winter Tennis Schedule
Tuesday 5-6:30 Intermediate/Advanced
Wednesday 4:30 -5:30 Young Beginners
Wednesday 4:30-5:45 Low Intermediate
Thursday 4-6 Tournament Training
Friday 4:30-5:30 Young Beginners
Sunday 1-3 Tournament Training

Class descriptions can be found in the spring tennis brochure here.

Summer Junior Tennis

If your child has attended a summer camp at Palisades in the past, they know how fun it is! We pride ourselves on providing quality instruction where the kids receive a solid tennis foundation for the future. At the same time, we balance out all that learning with games that are incredibly fun. We hope you can make time for your child to be with us for a week (or more) this summer. They will love it and hopefully gain a lifelong love of our wonderful sport.

Did you know that Palisades has a junior tennis team? Palisades competes in the Montgomery County Tennis League. It is a great league with low key matches for unranked juniors only. Did you also know that Palisades is the defending champion of this league? It’s true! We won it all last summer for the 2nd time in our short history. If you are interested in joining our championship tennis team program, please let me know and you will receive all the information prior to the summer or click here to view the brochure.

Adult Tennis at Palisades

Please click here to program flyer which lists all our adult programs at Palisades. If you are interested in team tennis, we have 2 daytime ladies’ teams, 2 women’s evening league teams and 1 men’s team that competes against other area clubs. If you would like to join any of these teams, please let me know. We also have classes that go on year-round if the weather allows. These include Live Ball Tennis, Cardio Tennis, and our ladies team practices.
