Have a little Porpoise not quite ready for the swim or dive teams? Fear not – they, too, can join in the fun at Palisades! We have two options for our younger swimmers: Porpoise Pre-Team and Porpoise Pups. 

The Porpoise Pre-Team is designed for swimmers who will be five years old before June 1, are confident in the water, and want to master swim strokes in preparation to join the swim team. The Pre-Team season begins in mid-June and culminates with the Celine Silver Memorial Mini Meet at Tilden Woods pool. If you have a Porpoise unsure about swim team, or interested in joining pre-team, there will be a clinic for Coaches to assess readiness at the Welcome Back on May 25th. The Porpoise Pups program provides group swim lessons for 3 – 5 year olds. The swim team junior coaches will lead lessons in the middle pool, providing hands-on support in building kids’ comfort in the water. This is a great way to meet other young families and get to know our swim team staff.
